Angel Fire Resort Gears Up for Skiing Season
The 2008 and 2009 winter season for the Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico is going to see a slightly later start than most other resorts for skiing and snowboarding. Festivities kick off on December 19, 2008 with what is known as benefits day: Where a $15 lift ticket is all that is needed to allow you to ride or ski all day, with all proceeds going directly to local non profit organizations and charities.
The real fun begins on the first day of the 2008 and 2009 winter ski season, which is December 20, 2008. Between December 23 and December 25, Christmas will be celebrated with an event called “Ski and Snowboard with Santa", and Christmas Eve will come with its own special event, the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks celebration which is an annual gathering that simply cannot be missed.
On the last day of the year, December 31, an annual New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade with Fireworks celebration is planned, which is well worth attending. Ring the new year in, in style, with stunning fireworks and fresh powder on the slopes. The Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico has plenty to offer skiers and snowboarders beginning mid December and stretching well into the New Year.
