Big Bear Resort-What's new for the 2008/2009
This year the Big Bear Resort is going to be the home to the 5th annual crowd favorite, “Hot Dawgs & Hand Rails” which is a popular annual winter snowboarding contest. The contest, which is based on invitation only, is going to showcase many talented snowboarders. The prize pot of $15,000 promises to ensure a high caliber of competition. Visitors will not be disappointed in the showing that is on the 9th of September. Competitors truly will have their skills put to the test on the unique level of terrain that is provided to them.
For the visitors, there will be many events and incentives, which will include autographs from the competitors, free merchandise giveaways and tickets to three different movie premiers. In addition to the snowboarding contest, the Big Bear resort will host a charity snowboarding event for breast cancer awareness. This event will raise funds through visitor events. At both snowboarding events, visitors to the resort will be given the chance to enjoy discounted winter 2008 / 2009 season passes. These passes become very worth while, provided that the visitor to Big Bear resort plans on making multiple visits within the 2008 to 2009 winter months.
